  1. Denver dropping charges against security guard accused of killing a man. Denver DA’s Office says it is dropping second-degree murder charges stemming from the 2020 fatal shooting of Lee Keltner. (Denverite)
  2. Politics could derail RTD from saving millions. The Regional Transportation District could save up to $120 million over the next 22 years if the agency refinanced some of its debt. (CPR)
  3. A year after delivery legalization, only a handful of dispensaries are delivering weed. Only 19 of Denver’s 206 dispensaries are sending out their products with delivery drivers. (7News)
  4. Federal spending deal includes $170 million for Colorado. Millions of dollars are coming to Colorado for projects and programs throughout the state. The money is coming through a new federal program called Community Project Funding – which is money that’s requested by Senators and Representatives for projects in their state. (CPR)
  5. Inflation at nearly 8 percent-highest in 40 years. Those living in the west, including Colorado, face an even higher inflation increase than the rest of the country. (Patch)
