AURORA, Colo. — A 17-year-old suspect in a fatal shooting this month in Aurora was charged Monday with first-degree murder.
Donovan Yates was charged in the Aug. 8 shooting near Beeler Street and Colfax, according to the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital, but later died. His name has not been released.

Due to the suspect’s age, no booking photo was available. Yates was next scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9.
