Night two in the Super Bowl of Racing

Tonight, the opening weekend for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series continues. The field is set for another night on the 4/10-mile dirt track of Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia.

Main Event

Report

Green flag, Moran drives it deep to the bottom as Pearson Jr knocks the cushion in turn one. Moran clears him by Pearson Jr has momentum off turn two.

Pearson drives it deep to the bottom in turn three. He slides him but Moran crosses under him and Moran retakes the lead back into turn one.

Lap 10, Moran leads Brandon Overton by 1.5 seconds.

Lap 12, Moran has caught the tail of the field. Overton is closing quickly.

Lap 13, car spins and the caution is out.

Kyle Larson heads for the hot pit under this caution. He then pulls it to the hauler and calls it a night.

Green, Moran leads. Overton and Pearson run side by side for 2nd. Stormy Scott is around, caution.

Green, Moran leads as Pearson and Pverton run side by side. Pearson returns to 2nd as he knocks the cushion in turn three.

Lap 20, Moran leads Pearson Jr by 1 second.

Halfway

Lap 25, Moran has caught the tail of the field. Overton closes rapidly.

Lap 27, Overton is all over the bumper of Moran. Moran runs the middle in turn one as he works lap traffic. Overton works under him and takes the lead away off turn two.

Lap 37, Overton struggled to lap Alberson. Moran closes to within two car lengths.

10 to go, Overton holds the gap.

6 to go, the leaders have moved to the bottom lane. Overton leads Moran by two.

4 to go, Moran loses the nose in dirty air. He quickly closes back to within two car lengths.

1 to go, Hudson O’Neal is knocking the cushion and closing on both of them! He comes up short.
