A rollover crash caused a closure of I-25 between 84th Avenue and Thornton Parkway, according to Thornton Police.
THORNTON, Colo. — Thornton Police Department (TPD) responded to a crash on Interstate 25 that caused a closure of the road between 84th Avenue and Thornton Parkway, Thursday morning.
TPD first tweeted about the crash around 3:36 a.m.
The driver, a man, was transported to the hospital, according to police. The driver suffered minor injuries, according to Adams County Fire.
Northbound and southbound lanes of I-25 were closed for chemical cleanup, police tweeted.
TPD said in an update around 4:20 a.m., the 84th Avenue overpass was also closed over I-25 due to the crash and cleanup. Police asked drivers to use Washington Street, Huron Street and 104th Avenue as alternative routes.
Drivers can expect delays in the area while crews work to clean up the crash, police said.
