No. 26 Men’s Golf Prepares for Valspar Collegiate Invitational
PALM CITY, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – No. 26 Florida State Men’s Golf gets ready to face a talented 15-team field at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational held March 28-29 at Floridian Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
The tournament includes Houston, Arizona State, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Marquette, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pepperdine, South Florida, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.
The Seminoles are coming off their second win of the spring season at The All-American Intercollegiate on March 22. Sophomore Frederik Kjettrup was a co-champion in the event, earning his first tournament title as a Seminole.
In seven tournaments this year, Kjettrup is shooting 70.85 and has a -0.70 average score vs. par. Among the regular starters, Dan Bradbury is also putting up strong numbers shooting 71.85 and a +0.30 average score vs. par.
FSU begins the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with 36 holes, then finishes with a final round on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
Representing Florida State will be Cole Anderson, Kjettrup, Bradbury, Brett Roberts and Michael Sakane. Competing individually will be Patrick McCann and Gray Albright.
