According to Google Maps, the closest In-N-Out to Northern Colorado is, give or take, 60 miles away.
But that all changes this week.
According to multiple news outlets including 9News, the controversially rave-worthy fast-food restaurant, In-N-Out Burger will be opening its sixth restaurant in Colorado on Thursday, Feb. 10.
The California-based burger chain, which was founded nearly 75 years ago by Harry and Esther Snyder in Baldwin Park, CA will now have another home in Thornton, CO.
The newest Colorado In-N-Out will be located right off I-25 and Grant St, at 111 E 136th Avenue in Thornton.
This particular In-N-Out location will feature one drive-thru lane, indoor seating permitting a limit of 74 guests, as well as a covered patio with enough outdoor seating to accommodate an additional 30 guests, as per reports.
The Good News For In-N-Out Lovers In Colorado
Okay, this is the sixth In-N-Out to hit Colorado – so what makes this one so special, you might ask?
Well, fellow animal-style lovers, once the Thornton In-N-Out Burger opens, it will officially be the closest In-N-Out to us living up here in Northern Colorado.
Not that I, personally, need to make any excuses to make a trip down to Denver or any of the surrounding areas (unlike some Northern Coloradans, I go willingly) I think the opening of an In-N-Out that’s about 15 miles closer to NoCo (generally speaking – I mapped the distance out from the Fort Collins area) than all the other In-N-Out locations is a good enough reason to make a 43 mile trip to a fast-food restaurant for a burger and some fries.
The Bad News For In-N-Out Lovers In Northern Colorado
The bad news? There is still no In-N-Out in NoCo, and maybe you’re just not as willing to make the 40+ mile trip for your double-double with animal-style fries and a chocolate shake – not that I can relate, but I can respect that.
Nevertheless, the bad news isn’t all that bad; everybody in NoCo knows that we’ve got some incredible restaurants in our area. And if you’re looking for a good burger, you don’t need to travel 40+ miles for one.
