SEWARD, Neb. (Press Release) – The Hastings College women’s track and field team hit the road to take part in the Concordia Outdoor Invitational bringing home some records and high national marks this past Friday and Saturday.
In the women’s 100m Hurdle finals, Nisa Thomas (SO/Elizabeth City, NC) finished 1st with and “A” standard qualifying time of 14.04. Rhys Maxey (SO/Kersey, CO) finished 6th. In the 400m Hurdles, Thomas finished 2nd with a time of 1:07.31
In the women’s 4x100m Relay, the team of Julyah Wilson (SR/Aurora, CO), Lauren Tamayo (SR/Ralston, NE), Karsen Sears (SR/Grand Island, NE), and Daisy Maessner (SR/Kearney, NE) finished 1st with an “A” standard qualifying time of 47.50
In the women’s High Jump, Tamayo finished 1st with a “B” standard mark of 1.64m (5′ 4.5″). Zailee Poulson (FR/Castleford, ID) finished 2nd
In the women’s Long Jump, Sears finished 1st with an “A” standard mark of 5.86m (19′ 2.75″). Maessner finished 2nd and Ikeah Cuff (JR/Detroit, MI) finished 3rd
In the women’s 800m, Veronica Pinkerton (SO/Beatrice, NE) finished 1st with a time of 2:23.55. Madison Gerken (SO/McCool Junction, NE) finished 2nd and Jilee Golus (FR/Bismark, ND) finished 8th
n the women’s Discus Throw, Jessa Eden (JR/Fairbury, NE) finished 1st with an “A” standard mark of 44.70m (146′ 8″). Kiara Anderson (JR/Mesa, AZ) finished 4th
In the women’s 100m final, Wilson finished 2nd with a time of 12.26. Thomas finished 5th and Rhys Maxes finished 8th, In the women’s 200m, Julyah Wilson finished 3rd with a time of 25.45
In the women’s Hammer Throw, Kiara Anderson finished 3rd with an “A” standard mark of 52.85m (173′ 5″)
In the women’s Shot Put, Kiara Anderson finished 5th with a throw of 12.86m (42′ 2.25″). Asia Tyler (SO/Omaha, NE) finished 8th
In the women’s 5000m, Liz Baade finished 7th with a time of 21:39.07. Carley Davis (SO/Prescott, AZ) finished 8th
